I learned this familiar children’s rhyme from Barney, the purple dinosaur when my kids were just babies. Kids and parents just couldn’t get enough of this cuddly, make-believe friend. We had several VCDs at that time of his adventures with his friends, along with the never-ending bubbly songs that entertains the children. And the best part is usually the last part where they will sing the ‘I love you’ song which we all knew by heart.

Last Sunday, I was surprised when I find my two kids playing while singing the above song. One of their friends taught them the song and they asked me to join them since it requires more than three players. I find it very entertaining because of the squeals of laughter when one had a mistake and it also serves as our bonding moment with them also. But I had to prepare our lunch at that time that’s why their next likely target would be their Dad. So after several minutes of coaxing their Dad to play with them, their Dad does not have any choice but to give in because he knows that the girls would not stop pestering him all day because of this.

Since he does not know yet the mechanics of the game, the girls patiently taught him and when the game starts, then the riot begins. Not only is the game become very complicated to him, their Dad often goof around which makes the girls laughing and frustrated at the same time. Maybe because the fact that he’s not a girl and might not incline to any of these girly stuff or this might be the first time he played this game of his entire life. Check the video below to see for yourself.
