Today is the kid’s 1st day of monthly exam.  I don’t like exams, not because I have to review their lessons, but because this means we have to pay our monthly tuition dues.  As usual, I forgot again to allocate the required amount until the last minute.  Yesterday, upon arriving from school, Bambam refuses to go to school when I told her that we haven’t paid yet.  Gabi then would not review because according to her, she will not be taking the exam since there’s no payment yet.  I think the teachers really had that influence on them, so and I told them to stop worrying about the payment but worry about their exam today.

When I woke up, Bambam already taken her bath and Jimer was in the bathroom. I re-heat the gluten steak we had last night and the two kids had a full breakfast. Jimer though did not eat it, and told me that he was not that fan of those kind of dishes. The kids were late as usual, note that their school is just around the corner. They refused to go to school unless I accompany them to personally explain to the teachers why we haven’t made the payment yet. So to appease them, I wrote a promissory note and told them to give to their teachers and this piece paper convinced them to go to school.

The day went on as usual. I went to school to pay their monthly dues, which surprises the principal because she received a promissory note and here I was paying. I told her that note is for my daughters’ assurance that I will be paying within the day.

I am very nervous as to what the result of their exam for the day. When they arrived in the afternoon, I braced myself for the bad news, especially from Gabi, since lately she’s not doing good in school. I was able to heave a sigh of relief when both of them got a good score.

During dinner, we announced that P100 will be given for each perfect exam. As usual, Bambam would not review since she knew already reviewed in class, but for Gabi, we really forced her to review. Gabi started with her review before I prepared our dinner, but we’ve already cleared the table and the dishes, she’s still on the first page. This really irritated Jimer so he’s the one who oversee the review. I told him to go on easy with her or the review will become a disaster. When Gabi noticed that Bambam is not doing anything, she complained again as to why we are not reviewing her sister. I told her that she should be feel lucky because this means we are concerned for her more than her sister. In fact, Bambam should be the one complaining because we’re not that concern with her. If the situation would be reversed, I’m sure her whining can be heard a block away.

Gabi reviewed until her eyes were too groggy and she asked if she can sleep. She promised to have a better score for her exam the next day and I crossed my fingers on that.

  1. [...] Yesterday, I removed the three plump caterpillars from our flower plants on the roof. My Nanay do not want me to remove it because it will become a butterfly later on. But when I looked at the plants, almost all the leaves were gone, so I decided to remove them before they cause anymore trouble. I place the three caterpillars in a box and filled them with leaves and stems for their sustenance. [...]
